Springfield Clinic is continuing its 75th anniversary celebration by donating money or services to local and regional nonprofits.
The Clinic’s Chief Administrative Officer, Mark Kuhn, says the response to the Give75 initiative has been outstanding.
“We have been absolutely humbled by the experience,” Kuhn says. “There is so much need and so many people doing great things for our community.”
This month it awarded the Elizabeth Ann Seton program, with shampoo, diapers and other daily necessities. The program offers education and resources for low income mothers and those who are expecting. It has offices in Springfield, Litchfield and Beardstown.
Kuhn says this April award is particularly appropriate because Mother’s Day is right around the corner.
“Their mission is to serve mothers, to help mothers, to help foster family relations,” Kuhn says. “That was one of the criteria we felt strongly about, and was the basis of them winning.
The Give75 program aims to donate about $1,000 worth of products, help or programs to local and regional nonprofits for the entirety of 2014 to celebrate Springfield Clinic’s 75th anniversary.
