The farmers market at the Illinois State Fairgrounds has opened for business with a record 36 vendors registering.
Markets will be held each Thursday evening through October 16th, except during the Illinois State Fair in August.
Besides fresh produce, the market also has live music, cooking demonstrations and children’s activities.
