District 186 School Board President Mike Zimmers says the schools are trying to avoid a repeat of last year when more than 500 students missed the first few days of school because they weren’t up to date on their shots.
“During the summer we will have two clinics the 4th and 5th of August. They will be at Washington and Jefferson schools,” told board members Monday night
Zimmers says parents need to “step up” and make sure their kids are immunized. The district is sending out notices to district parents to remind them.
