Springfield police are investigating a couple of gun-related incidents from over the weekend, but they don’t believe they’re connected to a rash of shootings from earlier this spring.

Police say a teenager fired a gun toward a group of people on south 16th street on Sunday. He was arrested later that day. They’re also investigating reports that a man went to St. John’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand. He wasn’t cooperative.

Both of those incidents are still under investigation. Things have been relatively quiet in Springfield over the past few weeks after dozens were arrested in an effort dubbed “Operation Falcon,” where 70 arrest warrants were issued.
