Watch for this if you are on southbound Interstate 55 in Springfield today.
A semi crashed into another around 3 a. m. near the Toronto Road exit (exit 90). Neither driver was hurt. State police say a distracted driver lost control while trying to get onto the interstate, drove across a ditch, and got stuck on the highway.
A second semi, whose driver didn’t see the first one until the last second, hit it and caught fire. The first driver, Dale Hoinoski, 65, of Greenwood, Mo., was ticketed for improper lane usage.
The second driver was Karl Warn, 63, of Grand Rapids, Mich.
