Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards says two people killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday died due to blunt force injuries.
Edwards says the autopsies found multiple such injuries. The accident happened Sunday afternoon near the I-55 Stevenson Dr. exit and backed up traffic for several hours.
Mitchell Bledsoe was pronounced dead on the scene. His passenger, Karla Blake, was taken to Memorial Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. Police say the motorcycle was trying to stop to avoid an accident near South Grand but couldn’t. A three car accident later was blamed on the motorcycle crash.
