If you are of the athletic sort, a project that is getting underway in Sherman soon should be an attractive spot to get outside and get some exercise.
Sherman Mayor Trevor Clatfelter says contracts have been let for a new trail system near the Rail Golf Course.
“It is a 35 acre tract of development and we have obtained an easement from the developer to put in a ten foot wide bike path for walking, biking, jogging,” says Clatfelter.
Clatfelter expects the trail to be completed this fall and will surround a planned park that will have an amphitheater along with playground equipment and green space.
He expects that once the park complex is completed more economic development will follow for the fast-growing village.
