An Arizona man is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his half-brother from Petersburg.
Joseph M. Coffman, 28, of Fort McDowell, Arizona, was charged in the death of Dennis S. Coffman, 47, of Petersburg. Pike County State’s Attorney Matt Goetten says Dennis Coffman was stabbed multiple times with a knife on Saturday.
Pike County officials say they received a call early Saturday reporting a stabbing inside a vehicle on Interstate 72. Pike County Sheriff Paul Petty says authorities think the stabbing happened while the vehicle was traveling from Missouri to Illinois.
