Springfield Police are investigating a pair of Monday night shootings.
Deputy Police Chief Dan Mounce says a 21 year old man was walking on Laurel St. towards Taylor Ave. when a vehicle drove by and fired multiple shots, hitting the victim in the shoulder. He was taken to Memorial Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. He didn’t give police any details about the vehicle or the person driving it.
Also Monday night, at least one house was damaged by gunfire on South Court. Mounce says a resident heard gunshots and glass breaking, then went outside to find his bedroom window shattered. He wasn’t injured.
