A Belleville woman faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to health care fraud.

Connie Evans, 50, admitted she submitted fraudulent bills while alleging to perform personal assistant services in a Medicaid program designed to allow patients to receive care in their homes instead of entering a nursing home.

Evans says she falsely billed the program between 2012 and 2013. Authorities say she submitted claims for 140 hours of services during times when the customer was receiving dialysis treatments in a medical facility.
