Springfield public schools seem to be headed in the right direction if the latest test scores are any indication.
“What we saw is Springfield is faring pretty well. That is why we wanted to give you these numbers,” says Gill. “For instance, in ISAT reading, we have 5-percent exceeding and 29-percent meeting (standards) in 3rd, 4th and, 5th grades.
Superintendent Jennifer Gill says when compared to cities of similar size, Springfield is showing a sharp turn-around in many areas, to include reading, science and, math test scores.
