Springfield’s Lincoln Library has a new interim director.
Mayor Jim Langfelder on Wednesday told the Library’s Board of Trustees he hired someone from within the ranks; Community Engagement Manager Summer Beck-Griffith.
Griffith joined the Lincoln Library in 2020 in that position, and said in a news release she couldn’t be more honored to step into the role. She added that she looks forward to addressing the needs of the Springfield community, as well as building partnerships, bringing equal access of resources to all, and serving the community in innovative ways.
Griffith takes the helm from former Director Rochelle Hartman, whom Langfelder fired.
