BURR RIDGE, Ill. (AP) — Police say a man fatally shot a co-worker and wounded another at a suburban Chicago office building before he took his own life as officers were closing in on him.
Burr Ridge Police Chief John Madden says the gunman fatally shot a man and wounded a woman who were his co-workers Tuesday afternoon. Burr Ridge Village President Gary Grasso says the gunman was being fired or laid off from his job and the man who was killed was his supervisor.
Madden says that after the shooting, the gunman fatally shot himself after officers located him at another location.
