The strip of downtown Springfield was alive with people expressing themselves through art when the Springfield Art Association sponsored PAINT THE STREETS Saturday.
Washington between 6th and 7th was blocked off while hundreds of artists of varying degrees of talent painted their 6 x 6 foot area with paints supplied by the SAA.
As might be expected many of the hot button political and social topics took center stage with paintings devoted to Black culture, LGBTQ+ activism, Women’s rights and more.
Lots of art of cute bunnies, superheroes and pretty trees too!
