Gov. JB Pritzker is announcing $30.3 million in grants for 87 local park projects and that will include $800 thousand dollars for Sangamon County parks.
The grants are through the state’s Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) program, administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
The grants include $400,000 for the City of Auburn’s Union Park improvements and 400K for the Springfield Park District’s Kiwanis Park redevelopment.
