A 30 year old Springfield woman was killed this morning in an automobile accident. It happened around 4:30 in the 800 block of West Monroe.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
The death is under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
