The Sangamon County Coroner has identified the 16 year old who was shot on Wednesday night and pronounced dead at Springfield Memorial Hospital a short time later.

16 year old Shawntel Howze Jr. of Springfield died from a gunshot wound to the head.

The death is being investigated as a homicide by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department

The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, has identified the deceased man from the shooting on Roadrunner & Chickadee Courts yesterday afternoon in Springfield.

26 year old Kyron Sullivan of Springfield was pronounced dead at HSHS St. John’s Hospital yesterday after being transported there by EMS.

An autopsy was done this morning and preliminary findings suggest Sullivan died from multiple gunshot wounds.

The death is being investigated by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
