A 51-year-old pedestrian who was brought into HSHS St. John’s Hospital by EMS after being struck by a train near the 1500 block of Percy Avenue in Springfield was pronounced dead in the emergency room around 11:30 Friday night.
Coroner Jim Allmon says the victim is Darrell Hall, 51.
The death is under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
