Illinois State Police, Division of Criminal Investigation officials
announce the arrest of Taylor W. Rainwater, a 19-year-old man from Batesville, Arkansas, for Child Pornography.
In April 2022, ISP DCI Zone 4 Agents initiated an investigation after learning a subject, later identified as Rainwater, was soliciting child pornography from a juvenile residing in Cass County, Illinois.
During the investigation, ISP Agents assigned to the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force gathered evidence supporting the arrest of Rainwater.
On October 12, 2022, the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office filed a 5-count information, charging Rainwater with Child Pornography (Class X and 1 Felonies). Circuit Judge Timothy J.Wessel issued an Arrest Warrant for Rainwater, setting bond at $200,000, 10% to apply.
On October 14, 2022, the Batesville, AR Police Department arrested Rainwater. On October 17, 2022,the Cass County Sheriff’s Office transported Rainwater to the Morgan County Detention Facility in Jacksonville, Illinois.
