Two Springfield residents were arrested on drug charges following an ongoing drug investigation by Sangamon County DIRT.

Last Wednesday 43-year old Krissen Padgett and 32 year-old Tylour Howard were approached by police in a hotel parking lot.

Padget was taken without incident on an active warrant regarding meth charges. While inspecting her vehicle police found several packages that were reported stolen off people’s porches earlier in the day.

The man attempted to elude police and police saw him throwing from his vehicle what was later identified as 24 grams of meth.

When they did get Howard to stop detectives found about 7 grams of suspected fentanyl and half a gram of purported heroin. Also located was 217 grams of a methamphetamine look-a-like substance.

Both suspects are being held on a variety of drug related offenses at the Sangamon County jail on bond.
