Springfield made it to the big game in a manner of speaking.
Ace Sign Company was chosen to design and manufacture the Roman numerals that greet visitors to Super Bowl Boulevard in Times Square.
Project Manager Cory Boatman says the production company responsible for pre- and post-game activities chose Ace after a nationwide search.
“We knew what the NFL wanted to spend and our goal was to give them the best letters we could within that budget. One of the things we talked to them about was ‘What is going to happen when the game is done? Can we have some of these components back?’ ” says Boatman.
Boatman says that decision has not yet made but he says the exposure Ace receives is priceless.
