Christian County and state police arrested Georg Goins, 38, Pleasant Hill, on a child pornography charge.

A state police news release says investigators learned Goins (pictured) was distributing material online and is also a registered sex offender. The attorney general’s Crimes against Children Task Force was also involved.

Goins faces four counts of dissemination of child pornography.

A child porn investigation has resulted in the arrest of a former Taylorville man who’d been living in Springfield.

The Taylorville police department says it worked with State Police and the US Marshals Service Thursday to arrest Robert Tobin, 64. The investigation’s been going on since February.

The charge is possession and / or distribution of child pornography, and Taylorville police say the state is working another county as part of the ongoing investigation.
