The City of Springfield has declared a snow emergency beginning at 11pm tonight (Friday) until Saturday morning at 7am. Parking on the snow emergency routes is prohibited and motorists face the possibilityithat their vehicles will be towed.

The City of Springfield has declared a snow emergency that’ll begin at 8:00 Saturday night and last through Tuesday at midnight.
All vehicles parked along snow emergency routes must be removed from the street by no later than midnight Sunday. Those who don’t comply could be towed. The city is reminding private property owners not to plow snow into city streets, as it’s against the law.
Springfield officials have also announced that the city’s municipal complex will be used as a warming center; Municipal Center East is open 24 hours a day, West from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The city’s public library, Lincoln Library, can also be used during regular business hours.
