A lawsuit has been filed challenging apparent plans for more housing for new migrants in Chicago. CBS News reports the lawsuit was filed by a couple of people who live in a neighborhood where they claim the city wants to house as many as 200 asylum seeking migrants. The residents accuse the city of legal sleight of hand, using emergency powers to bypass zoning laws and allowing housing to be set up in an industrial building. The lawsuit also claims having migrants living in the neighborhood cold pose safety and public health issues. More than 19,000 people seeking asylum have arrived in Chicago in the past 15 months.
