The Sangamon County Coroner is confirming the death of a 73 year-old man from Bloomington killed in a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 55 near the Clear Lake exit this morning.
He was pronouced dead at HSHS St. John’s Hospital at 1000am.
His identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow.
The death is under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Illinois State Police.
