An Illinois Lottery player is a quarter-millionaire, having purchased a Crosswords scratch-off ticket at the Thornton’s gas station (pictured) at West Wabash Avenue and West White Oaks Drive.
A news release from the lottery says Thornton’s is a winner, too, getting a one percent “seller’s bonus” of $2,500. A lottery spokeswoman says the winner has already come forward to claim the $250,000 prize.
