A Prophetstown man will spend 5 years in prison for attempting to use fire to damage a building used in interstate commerce.

73-year-old Phillip Buyno pleaded guilty in May of last year to attempting to burn down a building in Danville before it could be used as a reproductive health clinic. Buyno was found by police stuck inside a vehicle that was backed into the entrance of the building.

FBI agents then searched the vehicle finding bottles of gasoline, as well as a hatchet, road flares, old tires, and a pack of matches.

Buyno has remained in custody since his arrest.
