A former Illinois Department of Employment Security manager has been fined for directing his co-workers to do his college homework on the clock.

Clyde Redfield, 63, was fined $2,500. He resigned from his $71,000 a year job in 2012 after the allegations surfaced. Redfield was a part-time evening student a Benedictine University in Lisle from 2008 to 2010, when he received a management degree.

The Inspector General’s report says Redfield also used his state email to send messages about homework assignments.
