How it all started (radio)
I got my start in news working in Wisconsin as a reporter and anchor. I also have to give a shout out to my college radio station – WSUW-FM (U-91) in Whitewater, WI.
How it’s going
Great! Started in news and transitioned to working in classic rock radio for decades before returning to my news roots with WTAX.
My favorite local hobby
Love to bike, hike and travel. My husband and I have started playing racquetball again thanks to the new downtown YMCA (thank you to Dick Levi for helping make those courts a reality).
My favorite walking trail is the Sangamon Valley Trail. Being on SVT is my nature therapy! As for hiking, my family just finished our 12-year journey to visit all 50 states. There are so many amazing places in the United States. Don’t miss out on our National Parks! They are some of the most stunning places you’ll ever see. My favorite is Glacier National Park!
My favorite local event
My husband and I like to ride the Capital City Century each year. Thank you Springfield Bicycle Club for all you do! During the holidays, I enjoy Light up the Park in Chatham.
My family
My husband and I are empty nesters with our son off at college.
Where I came from
I’m from Wisconsin – so, yes…diehard Packers, Badgers, Bucks, and Brewers fan. Don’t hold that against me! Go Pack Go!
My hidden talent or claim to fame
When I was a kid, my sister and I memorized how to solve Rubik’s Cube. We would have races to see who could solve it that fastest. I have a certificate somewhere certifying me as a “cubist”. How nerdy is that?
