The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today reported 28,216 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 74 deaths since last Friday.
According to the CDC, 28 counties are now rated at High Community Level for COVID-19, an area that includes counties around the Chicago and Rockford areas, as well counties around Peoria, Quincy, Springfield and Champaign in central Illinois. An additional 53 counties in Illinois are now rated at Medium Community Level.
