It was bad news when Lutheran High School started to cave in from mine subsidence.
But the federal government was there Thursday to bring good news. Mine subsidence destroyed the school. Thursday, federal and state officials toured the building, after which Steve Feldgus of the Department of the Interior said, “The Biden-Harris administration is investmg another $75 million to the state of Illinois. That is going to let the state of Illinois and our partners at DNR carry out projects on a scale that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.”
Feldgus and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources say the Biden administration’s Investing in America program is a jobs engine.
