Springfield’s city council next week will vote whether to accept an insurance premium increase for city employees and retirees who are on the health plan.
Ald. Ralph Hanauer said during Tuesday’s committee of the whole meeting that the proposed increase has generated concern among people who have contacted him.
Budget director Bill McCarty responded that after double digit increases, this one is one percent.
The committee advanced the proposal to the Oct. 5 council agenda.
