The Sangamon County Elections office is reminding residents they can vote ahead of the March 18th primary election.
Elections Director Stacy Kern says if someone is not registered or has a change of address, they can still vote.
“For those who cannot get their registration updated by the February 18th deadline, there is what is called a grace period for registration. That requires a person to come into the office, register, and then they would have to vote at that time” says Kern.
Registered voters can vote in person now until Monday March 17th. They may vote by mail by March 13th. The election office is located in the Sangamon County Complex.
