A Beardstown girl is dead following a Monday morning house fire.
Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards says it isn’t yet clear how Chloe Whitlock, 7, died, an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) morning in Springfield. She was initially taken to Culbertson Hospital in Rushville before being airlifted to St. John’s in Springfield.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
