A little boy hit by a car on Springfield’s north end is expected to be okay.

The State Journal-Register reports Jordan Ross, 2, ran in front of a car in the 1200 block of North 4th St. shortly before 3:00 Monday afternoon. The driver wasn’t going very fast and tried to stop, but the front bumper hit the child.

Ross was taken to St. John’s Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
