One man is dead and another remains in critical condition at Memorial Medical Center after a shooting late Friday afternoon on Springfield’s east side.
Police say the man who was died was shot in the chest and died at the scene. The other man remains at Memorial, though police aren’t releasing his condition.
No one is in custody yet, though police were canvassing the area Friday. Witnesses reported seeing two people who appeared to be teenagers running from the scene.
