We’re on a one-way route – to electric vehicles. And the public and corporate acceptance of EV’s can’t happen fast enough for U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (pictured).

“The question is, will it happen quickly enough to defeat the climate crisis?” said Buttigieg. “Will it happen equitably enough that everyone gains from the cost savings of electric vehicle use or ownership; and will it happen in a way that’s Made in America? That’s why I am so excited to hear about the companies that are taking root here, like the school bus manufacturer and a company producing fuel cells for heavy trucks.”

Someone pointed out to Gov. JB Pritzker that an infrastructure interest group gave Illinois a C-minus. Pritzker responded that CNBC rated Illinois Number One.

“I’ll take that grade,” quipped Pritzker to chuckles. Put another way, consider the source.

Pritzker and Buttigieg appeared at the ribbon cutting of a transportation center in Joliet.
