On Friday the City of Springfield’s Office of Community Relations is partnering with the Red Cross for its next community blood drive.
The drive will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Lincoln Library, 326 S. 7th Street in the Carnegie Room, which is located on the first floor of the library.
It is recommended you register in advance at www.redcrossblood.org. Type in your zip code and select “Springfield Lincoln Library” from the options. You may also call 1.800.733.2767 to register or if you have questions. Remember: on-street/meter parking is free during the day. This means you do not need to plug the meters.
Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and/or platelets. This is an opportunity to give – whether it will be the first time you donate or if you donate blood regularly.
