Illinois State Police are seeking clues into the death of a woman whose body was found in a storage shed in Rochester.

Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards will only say the body is that of a white woman—whose age is undetermined.

“We are hoping we will be able to identify relatively quickly.  We will do DNA and we have dental so we will be working on that,” says Edwards.

The remains were discovered Saturday and Edwards is not speculating on how long body may have been in the shed.  She did say an anthropologist was brought in because of the decomposition of the body.

Edwards says the body hadn’t been there for “days or weeks,” but “could have been” there for several years.
