Dawson under boil order after loss of pressure

DAWSON, Ill. (WAND) – The Village of Dawson is under a boil order due to a mechanical failure at the village’s water treatment plant. Due to a system wide pressure loss over the weekend, customers are advised to boil drinking water.

The advisory is for all Dawson Water customers.  The boil order is precautionary.  According to the village’s Facebook page, the issue was corrected, but officials expect the boil order to remain in effect until Wednesday morning until the necessary bacteria samples are analyzed.
