Governor Pat Quinn says the math did not add up and despite another few days to count absentee ballots, he conceded the governor’s race to Bruce Rauner Wednesday
After the polls closed, Rauner had a 6 point lead over Quinn with 99-percent of precincts reporting. Last night, he said he was going to wait as long as he needed to before acknowledging Rauner’s victory.
In a brief statement, Quinn says now that the election has been decided it is time to “work together.”
