A residence described as a ‘Drug Den’ or ‘Flop House’ was raided by Sangamon County D.I.R.T. and the Sheriff’s Tactical Response Unit. 17 people were found to be living in the house.
It happened on Wednesday at 6:20PM. Authorities executed a search warrant on the N. 19th Street home of 48 year old Mark Estes. Estes is currently on probation and is a registered sex offender.
Traffic stops that uncovered both Meth and Heroin led police to Estes’ residence.
At the home a search uncovered various amounts of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
Besides Estes three other individuals were arrested at the residence on various warrants and drug offenses.
The remaining occupants were identified and released with no charges.
