The city of Springfield has shut down three lanes of eastbound Monroe Street in front of the state capitol.
Public Works says multiple service valves have broken and they need to be repaired. Two of four lanes will stay closed while crews fix the street once repairs are done.
It’s unclear how long the repairs will last.
