Enrollment at Illinois’ community colleges continues to climb. The Illinois Community College Board released a report Monday showing enrollment is up for the second straight year. Headcount and full-time equivalent enrollment are up for fall 2023 and the fall-to-fall increase is the second largest in the last 30 years, with only 2008-2009 being greater.

ICCB’s report shows Lincoln Land Community College enrollment increased by 17.9% compared to last fall. In total, 36 community colleges experienced an increase in headcount enrollment, while just 12 community colleges had a decrease in Illinois.
