With Labor Day behind us, autumn is just around the corner.

Pumpkin-spice everything can already be found in abundance around the Capitol City, but some seasonal favorites you might actually look forward will soon to be back too.

Fall festivals like Oktoberfest (Sept. 10), the Edwards Place Fine Arts Fair (Sept. 17 & 18), and the International Route 66 Mother Road Festival (Sept. 23 – 25) each happen over the next three consecutive weekends to round out the month.

In October, you have the the Artisans & Antique Market (Oct. 1), Carve for the Carillon (Oct. 8 – 9), and the 40th anniversary of Zoolie Ghoulie to look forward to, among other things, like the Fall Harvest Festival (also Oct. 8 – 9).

Then, of course, there is Halloween itself (on a Monday this year) and, only slightly less scary, Election Day on November 8th.
