Former mayor Jim Langfelder hired Yazell, then fired her. She has been working as interim director and, before that, on a contract basis since Buscher became mayor.
Presuming the city council confirms Gwendolyn Harrison next week as library director, approving Yazell’s nomination in October would complete Buscher’s cabinet.
