A former Illinois Department of Public Health Administrator has pleaded guilty to bribery, kickbacks, and filing false income tax returns.
Roxanne Jackson, 49, admitted to receiving more than $1 million in grants from the State for three not-for-profit organizations, conspiring with an associate – Quinshanta Golden.
Over a period of seven years, the two received more than $11 million in grants and contracts. Golden is scheduled to be sentenced on October 31st.
Jackson has made a plea agreement with prosecutors.
