Springfield Ward 6 residents and business owners can again apply for money to spruce up their homes or businesses this spring.
Alderman Cory Jobe says twenty $500 grants will be distributed.
“We wanted to highlight and recognize those homeowners who have lived and worked and raised their families in Ward 6 for decades,” said Jobe.
Polly Poskin, president of the Aristocracy Hill Neighborhood Association says it is all about pride.
“These neighborhoods are ours and it is up to us to reclaim them and to make them an integral part of the Springfield community,” she said.
Since the fund was established in 2011, nearly $40,000 has been distributed to neighborhood associations, residents and public projects in the ward. Eligibility requirements and more information is available here.
