Springfield Ward 10 Alderman Tim Griffin has resigned.
The resignation is effective Wednesday — his former colleagues start open-session discussions Wednesday night over whether he should become the next city council coordinator.
Mayor Mike Houston said in a news release that he’s accepting applications for someone to fill Griffin’s spot until the April municipal elections. Those interested must not already be running for a city office.
