The Central Illinois Foodbank, Friend-in-Deed and SYSCO are partnering to provide food to hungry families over the holidays.
On Wednesday at 3p the foodbank on E. Cook St. will distribute over 700 of their HOLIDAY FOOD BOXES.
Brooke Dunn with CIF says the boxes will be stuffed with dry and cold goods such as hams, stuffing, bake mix, canned veggies, fresh fruits and more.
The boxes are free to anyone, and no ID is required. Its a drive thru event. Attendants will load boxes for recipients.
The demand for their Thanksgiving Boxes was overwhelming so this time, Dunn says, they have more than doubled the available boxes.
